AYURVEDIC TREATMENTS
- Panchkarma: It is a fundamental detoxification and rejuvenation therapy in Ayurveda. Panchkarma includes the following five procedures
- Vamana: It’s a procedure of approximately 15 days in which vomiting is induced with the help of medicines. It is mostly done for diseases of Kapha.
- Virechana: It’s a procedure of approximately 15 days in which purgation is induced with the help of medicines. It is mostly done for diseases of Pitta.
- Basti: In this procedure, medicated oils or decoctions are administered per rectum, primarily done for Vata
- Nasya: It involves the administration of herbal oils or powders through the nose to treat the diseases of the head region.
- Raktamokshana: It involves controlled removal of an appropriate quantity of blood to treat disease conditions due to Rakta dushti.
