DISEASES WE TREAT
In Ayurveda, indigestion is known as Ajeerna, which means improper digestion of food due to a weakened or disturbed digestive fire (Agni). When Agni is not functioning properly, the food is not digested completely, leading to the formation of toxins (Ama) in the body, which becomes the root cause of many health problems.
Main Causes:
- Eating heavy, oily, stale, or incompatible foods
- Irregular eating habits or improper meal timings
- Overeating or eating before the previous meal is digested
- Excessive intake of cold or refrigerated foods
- Stress, anxiety, and lack of physical activity
- Imbalance of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas
Common Symptoms:
- Heaviness or discomfort in the stomach
- Loss of appetite
- Bloating and gas formation
- Sour or bitter belching
- Nausea and fatigue
- Coated tongue and bad taste in the mouth
